Meeting pre-reads
How Fyxer meeting pre-reads provide context before calls and how to enable or disable them.
Meeting pre-reads help you walk into recurring meetings with the right context, without digging through past notes or email threads. They summarize what happened last time and what you're responsible for next, so you're prepared before the call starts.
What are meeting pre-reads?
A meeting pre-read is a short, automatic email sent 15 minutes before a meeting, assuming Fyxer has enough meaningful context to add value.
Each pre-read focuses on:
Key discussion points from previous meetings in the same series
Action items assigned to you
Decisions or follow-ups that are still relevant
Pre-reads are intentionally concise. They're not full meeting notes – just the information you need to show up prepared.
When pre-reads are sent
Fyxer only generates pre-reads when all of the following are true:
The meeting is recurring – one-off meetings don't generate a pre-read
At least one meeting in the series has been recorded – Fyxer needs prior notes to summarize
You have assigned action items or relevant discussion history – pre-reads focus on what you need to know or do
If these conditions aren't met, no pre-read is sent.
How to turn pre-reads on or off
Go to Dashboard → Notetaker → Notetaker settings (gear icon top right)
Select the Pre-reads tab
Toggle Send pre-read emails on or off
Select Update preferences to save any changes
Your settings apply to all future meetings.
