Requesting and granting access to meeting recordings

Manage who can view your meeting recordings.

Share your meeting recordings with anyone who wasn't on the call. Recipients can also request access directly, and you can approve it in one click.

Sharing a recording manually

If you want to share a meeting recording with someone who wasn't on the call, do it from your Dashboard, not by forwarding the meeting note email. Forwarding the email won't give the recipient access to the video or transcript.

To share:

  1. Go to your Dashboard → Notetaker → Recorded

  2. Select the meeting you want to share

  3. Click the Share button, top right

To get there quickly, click into the meeting from the meeting notes email you received. This takes you directly to the recording in your Dashboard, where you can then share it.

Recording access requests

When someone requests access to a recording they don't have permission to view, the recording owner receives a notification with a direct approval link.

Clicking the link grants access immediately. The requester can then view the recording, transcript, and summary without any further steps from the owner.

How to request access

  1. Open the recording link you've been sent

  2. Click Request access

  3. The recording owner will receive an email with a link to approve

Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email.

How to approve an access request (recording owners)

  1. Open the approval email or use the dialog box that opens directly in the Dashboard

  2. Click Grant access

The requester will receive an email confirming they have access.
