Set up Fyxer Flows

Automate recurring email and meeting tasks, from a follow-up email to your daily digest.

Flows let you set up a task once and have Fyxer run it automatically, so you're not repeating the same steps every day or every meeting. Each Flow runs on a trigger you choose and delivers its output to the channel you pick.

How Flows work

Every Flow has three parts: a trigger that starts it, an action that runs the instructions, and a delivery channel that receives the output.

Trigger

  • Scheduled: runs at a set time, for example every morning at 7am or every Friday afternoon

  • On-email-labeled: runs automatically when an email receives a Fyxer label, such as Important or Follow-up

Action
Fyxer runs the instructions set for that Flow, whether that's a preset or one you've customized.

Delivery channels

  • Slack DM or channel

  • Email, sent to your inbox

  • Microsoft Teams channel

  • In-app notification

Available Flows

Some of the Flows you can enable and configure include:

  • Post-meeting follow-up email

  • Action-item roundup

  • Pre-meeting prep and memory jog

  • Weekly recap

  • Morning briefing

  • End-of-day wrap

  • Important email notification

  • CRM-less deal tracker

Setting up a Flow

There are a few ways to get a Flow running:

Activate a Flow from the list

  1. Open your Dashboard and go to Flows

  2. Click on the Flow you want

  3. Select Activate Flow

To turn it off later, select Pause Flow. To delete it completely, select Delete.

Customize a Flow

Click into a preset Flow to open it. It arrives paused, so it won't run until you activate it.

On the right side, you'll find the editing section, broken into Trigger, Action, and Delivery. Set the trigger's schedule, edit the plain-English instructions the flow will run, and choose where results get delivered (email, Slack, or another channel). Nothing changes until you select Activate Flow. Select the X in the top right corner to leave without saving.

Create one from scratch

If none of the presets fit what you need, select the Create Flow button and describe what you want. Fyxer sets the title, trigger, and instructions for you.

Flows in action

Scenario: you just came out of a client call and need to send a follow-up.

With the post-meeting follow-up Flow turned on, Fyxer drafts a follow-up email as soon as the meeting ends, using the discussion to fill in next steps, so you're reviewing a draft instead of starting from a blank page.

Scenario: you want to start each day knowing what's outstanding, without opening five different tabs.

The morning briefing Flow runs on a schedule you set, for example 7am, and delivers a summary of what needs your attention straight to Slack or email.

Scenario: you're tracking deals without a CRM.

The CRM-less deal tracker Flow keeps a running view of where things stand with each contact, based on your email activity, so you're not relying on memory or a spreadsheet to know what's moved and what hasn't.
