Fyxer automatically sorts your inbox into 8 smart categories. Your Categorization Settings control which emails stay in your inbox and which ones Fyxer files away for you.
This allows you to keep your inbox focused on the messages you care about most.
How Categorization Works
Each Fyxer category has a checkbox in your settings:
Checked - Emails in this category skip the inbox and go directly to their folder/label
Unchecked - Emails stay in your inbox and are tagged with the category
You choose how much or how little Fyxer hides from your inbox.
How to Adjust Your Categorization Settings
Open your Fyxer Dashboard
Go to Categorization Settings
Check the categories you want Fyxer to file away automatically
Uncheck the categories you want to stay visible in your inbox
Click Update preferences to save your changes
Your inbox will update instantly with new incoming emails.
Recommended Setup
Most users choose:
Checked: Comment, Notifications, Meeting Updates, Awaiting Reply, Actioned, Marketing
Unchecked: FYI and To Respond (important messages stay visible)
This keeps your inbox focused on emails that require attention while still letting Fyxer organize everything else behind the scenes.
Tips
You can change these settings anytime - Fyxer adjusts immediately
If your inbox feels too quiet, uncheck more categories
If it feels noisy, check more categories to let Fyxer do more filtering
