Consent when using the Notetaker desktop app

Always get consent before recording meetings.

Updated over a week ago

The Fyxer Notetaker desktop app lets you record your meetings directly from your computer without joining as a visible participant, so you must get consent from everyone before you start recording.

Before you record

  • Tell everyone the meeting will be recorded

  • Get clear consent from all participants

  • Stop the recording if anyone objects

Don't record if consent is refused, uncertain, or where recording is prohibited by law or policy.

You are responsible for

  • Getting consent before recording

  • Following local laws and company policies

  • Storing recordings securely

  • Deleting recordings appropriately

Misuse may violate criminal, privacy, and data protection laws, as well as our Terms of Use.
