Scheduling with Fyxer: drafts vs scheduling links

Two ways to book meetings – and when to use each one.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Fyxer helps you book meetings without the usual back-and-forth. You can either suggest times directly in an email draft or let someone book time themselves using your scheduling link.

Both options work. The right one depends on how you're scheduling.

Two ways to schedule with Fyxer

Fyxer supports two complementary scheduling workflows:

  1. Scheduling drafts: propose times inside an email

  2. Scheduling links: let the other person choose a time

Both use your connected Google or Outlook calendar and respect your availability, meeting hours, notice period, and time zone.

1. Scheduling drafts (suggest times in email)

Scheduling drafts are best when you want to stay within email and keep control of the conversation.

How it works

When an email suggests scheduling (for example, "Can we meet this week?"), Fyxer can draft a reply that proposes realistic meeting windows based on your availability.

You can also explicitly ask Fyxer to create a scheduling draft from Chat or by forwarding the email to [email protected] with the word "Schedule" in the email body.

What Fyxer does for you

  • Checks your live calendar availability

  • Suggests time windows

  • Avoids double-booking and respects your working hours

  • Drafts the reply in your writing style

You always review and send the draft – nothing is sent automatically.

2. Scheduling links (let them choose)

Scheduling links are best when you want zero back-and-forth, especially for external or customer-facing meetings.

How it works

Your scheduling link shows your live availability. When someone books a time:

  • The meeting is added to your calendar

  • The attendee receives the calendar invite

  • You receive a confirmation

You can:

  • Copy your link from Dashboard → Scheduling

  • Let Fyxer include it automatically in email drafts

  • Turn it off anytime if you prefer another scheduling tool

When links work best

  • Sales calls, demos, interviews, customer support

  • Booking with people outside your organization

  • High-volume scheduling where speed matters

Drafts vs links: which should I use?

Use scheduling drafts when:

  • You want to stay conversational in email

  • You're coordinating with someone you already know

  • You prefer to propose times yourself

Use scheduling links when:

  • You want the other person to pick a time

  • You're booking customer or prospect meetings

  • You want to eliminate back-and-forth entirely

Many users use both, depending on the situation.

Time zones

Fyxer automatically accounts for time zones using:

  • Your connected calendar

  • Your scheduling settings

  • The recipient's location (when booking via link)

This ensures suggested times and booking availability appear correctly for everyone involved.

If something looks off:

  • Check your time zone in Dashboard → Scheduling → Availability

  • Confirm your calendar time zone is correct

Rescheduling a meeting

If someone books time using your Fyxer link and you or they need to reschedule:

  • Manually email the recipient to propose a new time

  • If needed, paste your scheduling link into that email so they can rebook

  • Cancel or update the original calendar invite in your calendar app to avoid confusion
