If your Meeting Notetaker is mishearing names, acronyms, or industry-specific terms, you can improve transcription and summary accuracy by adding custom words to your Fyxer settings.
Custom words help Fyxer recognize terminology unique to your company, team, or industry.
What Custom Words Are
Custom words allow you to teach Fyxer how to correctly recognize:
Company names or product names (e.g., Fyxer)
Team or project acronyms (e.g., OpsRev, P1 Squad)
Industry terms or technical jargon (e.g., QBR, LLM tuning)
These terms are used as reference points during transcription and summarization to increase accuracy.
Where to Find Custom Words
Open your Fyxer Dashboard
Go to Meetings → Settings
Scroll to the Custom words section
You can add up to 100 terms per user.
How to Add Custom Words
Click Add custom word
Type a word or short phrase into the input field
Repeat for any additional terms
To edit or remove a term, use the options next to the item.
Fyxer immediately starts using these terms in future transcriptions.
How Custom Words Work
Custom words improve recognition of terms Fyxer may not detect by default
They apply per user, not organization-wide
Terms are considered during both transcription and summarization
The meeting transcript language must be set to English
You can update or remove terms at any time
Best Practices
Add acronyms, team names, unusual names, product terms, and technical jargon
Avoid adding full sentences or common English words
Keep your list manageable - focus on important terms Fyxer might mishear
