Fyxer gives you three ways to capture a meeting:
Record through your microphone
Invite the Notetaker to join a live online meeting
Upload an existing recording
Each option generates a transcript and meeting summary once processing is complete.
Record via Microphone (In-Person Meetings)
Use microphone recording when you want to capture audio directly from your device - ideal for:
In-person meetings
Brainstorming sessions
Ad-hoc conversations not linked to a calendar invite
How to record using your microphone:
Open your Dashboard
Go to Meetings → Recordings
Click Record Meeting → Start recording now
(Optional) Link the recording to a calendar event
Confirm your microphone input
Click Start recording
Recording limits:
Maximum recording duration: 2 hours
If the meeting exceeds 2 hours, recording stops at the limit and only the first 2 hours will be transcribed and summarized
Tips for clearer transcripts:
Record in a quiet space
Use an external microphone when possible
Speak clearly and introduce participants by name
Inform attendees that the session is being recorded
Invite the Notetaker to an Online Meeting
Use this when your meeting already has a Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet link.
How to invite the Notetaker:
Go to Meetings → Recordings
Select Add to video call
Paste the meeting URL
Click Start recording
The Notetaker joins the call, captures the conversation in real time, and produces the transcript and summary afterward.
Full details on join behavior are covered in: When the Notetaker joins a meeting (rules & expectations)
Upload an Existing Recording
Upload audio or video files from any platform if you already have a recording.
How to upload:
Go to Meetings → Recordings
Click Upload audio or video
(Optional) Link the file to a calendar event
Choose your audio/video file (max size: 1 GB)
Click Import meeting
Fyxer will process the file and generate the transcript and summary.
After the Meeting
Once processing finishes - regardless of recording method - you'll receive:
A searchable transcript
A structured meeting summary
Summary style options (executive, chronological, sales-focused, etc.)
Editing tools (expand, shorten, regenerate)
PDF export and Copy to clipboard
Chat with Transcript to quickly find answers
All outputs appear in your dashboard under: Meetings → Recordings
