What to do if the Admin left your company

If you're blocked from managing your Fyxer account because the Admin is no longer with your company, you're not stuck.


Why This Happens

In Fyxer, only Admins can manage billing, seats, and team settings. If the person who originally created the account or was assigned Admin access leaves the company, you may see messages like:

  • "Contact your account administrator"

  • "Only admins can manage billing"

  • "You don't have permission to perform this action"

Even if:

  • You are the company owner

  • You're paying for the subscription

  • The Admin no longer works at your company


Step 1: Check If There Is Another Admin

Before contacting support, check whether another Admin already exists.

  1. Go to Dashboard → Settings → Team

  2. Open the Members tab

  3. Look for users marked as Admin

If another Admin is listed, ask them to:

  • Grant you Admin access, or

  • Transfer Admin ownership to you



Step 2: If the Admin Is Gone or Unreachable

If:

  • The Admin has left the company

  • You don't recognize the Admin

  • There is no Admin listed

  • You're paying but can't manage billing

What to Send to Support

Email [email protected] with:

  • Your organization name

  • Your work email address

  • The issue you're seeing (e.g. "I can't manage billing because the admin left")

  • Proof of ownership if available (e.g. recent invoice, billing email)

Our team will:

  • Verify ownership

  • Reassign Admin access

  • Help you regain control of billing and settings



Step 3: Prevent This From Happening Again

Once access is restored, we strongly recommend:

  • Assigning at least two Admins

  • Ensuring the billing owner is an Admin

  • Reviewing Admin roles when team members leave

This prevents lockouts and delays in the future.



Preventing Organizations From Being Left Without an Admin

If a Super Admin attempts to leave or delete their account while other members remain, Fyxer will prompt them to:

  • Promote another member to Super Admin, or

  • Remove all other members first

This ensures your organization is never left without administrative access.



How to Leave as the Only Super Admin

Option 1: Promote another member

Go to your Dashboard → Admin Settings → Team

  1. Find the user you want to promote

  2. Click the role dropdown next to their name

  3. Select Super Admin

  4. Confirm the change

Once another Super Admin exists, you can delete your account.

Option 2: Remove all members first

Go to your Dashboard → Admin Settings → Members

  1. Remove each member from the organization

  2. Once you're the only member, you can delete your account



Common Questions

I'm the CEO / founder - why wasn't I Admin automatically?

Admin status is assigned per account, not by job title. If you joined an existing organization (for example via domain auto-add), you may have been added as a Member by default.

Why Can't I Delete My Account or Cancel My Subscription?

If you are the only Super Admin in an organization with other members, Fyxer will ask you to promote another Super Admin first. This prevents your team from losing access to the organization.

Can support make me Admin?

Yes - after verifying ownership. This protects your organization from unauthorized access.

Will my data or subscription be affected?

No. Your emails, meeting notes, and subscription remain intact while access is corrected.
