AI training and your data: our commitment

Updated over 3 weeks ago

We're often asked whether Fyxer uses customer data to train AI models. This article explains exactly what we do - and don't do - in plain language.

The Short Answer

No. Fyxer does not use your emails, meetings, or documents to train public or shared AI models. Your data is never sold, shared, or used to improve models for other customers.

What "AI Training" Means (and What It Doesn't)

When people ask about AI training, they usually mean one of two things:

  1. Training large, shared AI models (e.g. models used by many companies)

  2. Learning within your own account to improve your experience

Only #2 applies to Fyxer.

How Fyxer Uses AI With Your Data

Fyxer uses AI inside your account only to:

  • Draft replies in your writing style

  • Understand context from past conversations

  • Improve follow-up suggestions and prioritization

  • Generate meeting summaries you explicitly enable

This learning is:

  • Private to your account

  • Isolated from other users

  • Never used to train or fine-tune shared models

What Fyxer Does Not Do

To be very clear, Fyxer does not:

  • Train public or third-party AI models on your data

  • Use your emails or meetings to improve other customers' outputs

  • Sell, license, or monetize your data

  • Share raw content with external AI providers for training

  • Build aggregated datasets for external use

Your data stays scoped to delivering the features you've enabled - nothing more.

What About "Anonymized" or "Aggregated" Data?

Fyxer may generate high-level, non-identifiable operational metrics, such as:

  • Feature usage counts

  • Performance and reliability metrics

  • Error rates and system health signals

These metrics:

  • Contain no email content

  • Contain no personal data

  • Cannot be traced back to you or your organization

They are used solely to improve platform reliability and performance.

Enterprise and Compliance Commitments

For organizations with stricter requirements:

  • Fyxer does not train AI models on customer data - now or in the future

  • This commitment is compatible with SOC 2, GDPR, and enterprise security standards

  • Contractual assurances (such as DPAs or BAAs where applicable) reflect this stance

If your organization requires written confirmation, our team can provide it during procurement at [email protected].

How This Differs From Team Visibility

This article covers external AI use only.

If you're wondering:

  • Who inside your organization can see your data

  • Whether admins or teammates have access
