macOS Gatekeeper errors and "Open Anyway" steps
If you see a message that the app can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer:
Open System Settings → scroll down to Privacy & Security
Under Security, you'll see a message about the Notetaker app
Select Open Anyway to allow the app to run
"Application not supported" errors (architecture compatibility)
Ensure you are downloading the correct version for your Mac (only Apple Silicon is supported)
If you see an "application not supported" error, check your Mac's information in About This Mac and download the matching installer
Windows installation issues
Make sure you have administrator rights to install new applications
If you see a security warning, click More info → Run anyway
Ensure your Windows version meets the minimum requirements (see below)
System requirements
macOS:
Version 13 (Ventura) or later
Apple Silicon (M1, M2, or newer)
Intel Macs are not supported
Windows:
Windows 10 or later
64-bit processor
At least 4GB RAM
Both:
Stable internet connection for authentication and uploads
