If a sent email has popped up in your inbox, here are the three main causes and how to resolve them.
1. "Actioned" or "Awaiting reply" emails stay in your inbox
Fyxer categorizes sent emails as Actioned or Awaiting reply to help you track what's been dealt with and what still needs a response.
In the Dashboard, you can decide which email categories stay in your inbox and which are filed away. If you have Actioned or Awaiting reply set to Keep these in my inbox, the emails will stay in your inbox.
Fix:
Go to Dashboard → Categorization → General
Use the toggle to move Actioned and Awaiting reply to under Move these out of my inbox
Select Update preferences to save
Note: this change only applies to new emails. Any sent emails already in your inbox will need to be moved manually.
If you only see 7 or 5 Fyxer categories, this fix won't apply to you. We regularly test and refine how Fyxer works, so experiences can vary.
2. Reply threads come back to your inbox after you reply
If replied threads keep reappearing, it's likely because Archive threads after replying is turned off.
Fix:
Go to Dashboard → Categorization → Advanced
Under Sent email behavior turn on Archive threads after sending
Select Update preferences to save
3. Emails get the wrong label, or no label at all
If sent emails are landing in the wrong category, or aren't being labeled at all, this is usually caused by a disconnected integration or conversation view being turned off in your email client.
Fix (try these in order):
Changed your email password recently?
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Integrations and check whether your email account is still connected. If not, select Connect. Fyxer will reprocess your most recent 300 emails and resume labeling within 5–10 minutes.Check conversation view is on
Labels won't apply correctly without it.Check your custom rules
Go to Dashboard → Categorization → Advanced and make sure you haven't got any rules which are interfering with how you want your emails categorized.Disconnect and reconnect Fyxer
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Integrations and select Remove connection on your email account. When prompted, check Retain Fyxer folders, so you don't lose existing labels. Wait a couple of minutes and then reconnect.
