Troubleshooting missing drafts

Updated this week

Fyxer AI automatically generates drafts for emails that need a response - usually those marked “1: To Respond.”

If you’re not seeing drafts, here are the most common reasons and fixes.

Quick Checks

  1. Drafts Setting Turned On?

    • Go to your Fyxer AI Dashboard → Drafts Settings

    • Make sure Draft replies = ON
💡 Drafts only start appearing for new emails once this is enabled.

  2. Categorization Active?

    • Drafts only appear for emails labeled “1: To Respond.”

    • Check Categorization Settings to confirm it’s active.

  3. Email Connected?

    • Go to Settings → Integrations

    • Confirm your email account is connected.

    • If needed, disconnect → wait a few minutes → reconnect.

  4. Conversation View Enabled?

    • In Gmail or Outlook, make sure Conversation View is turned ON.

    • Drafts group best with their threads; if disabled, drafts may appear “lost.”

  5. Rules or Filters Blocking?

    • If an email has been snoozed, archived, or moved by a rule, Fyxer won’t generate a draft.

💡 Tip: Drafts only start appearing for new emails once Drafts is enabled

Why a Draft Might Not Appear

Even if an email is marked “To Respond,” Fyxer AI may skip creating a draft when:

  • The message is automated (e.g. calendar invites, Typeform submissions, system alerts)

  • The content doesn’t require a human-style reply

  • Your response threshold is set too low, so Fyxer is less proactive

💡 Drafts depend on your thresholds and settings. Adjust these to fine-tune how often drafts appear.

Want a Draft Anyway?

No problem. Just forward the email to [email protected]
Add the word “draft” in the message body (e.g. “Please draft a reply for this”).

Tips to Encourage More Drafts

  • Go to Categorization Settings > Response Threshold

  • Try raising (higher volume) the threshold to make Fyxer more proactive

  • Keep in mind: messages that look auto-generated may still be skipped by default
