How Fyxer drafts your emails (and where to find them)

Updated yesterday

Fyxer automatically creates draft replies for emails that need your attention. This article explains how drafting works, how Fyxer decides what to respond to, and where to find your drafts in Gmail or Outlook.

How Fyxer Creates Draft Replies

Fyxer generates a draft when an email thread is labeled To Respond and the Draft replies setting is turned on.

Here's what powers the drafting process:

1. Learns your writing style

When you sign up, Fyxer analyzes ~300 of your recent emails to understand:

  • Tone

  • Vocabulary

  • Structure

  • How you typically reply

This helps drafts sound natural and consistent with your voice.

2. Understands when a reply is needed

Fyxer detects "action signals" such as:

  • Questions

  • Requests

  • Deadlines

  • Follow-up prompts

  • Scheduling needs

When detected, the thread is automatically labeled To Respond.

3. Generates a context-aware reply

Fyxer uses:

  • The full email thread

  • Your historical writing patterns

  • Lookalike emails you've replied to before (if available)

When the thread needs a response, Fyxer creates a draft automatically.

4. Scheduling built in

If the email asks to meet and your calendar is connected, Fyxer:

  • Suggests real-time availability, or

  • Inserts your scheduling link

You always preview these before sending.

Where to Find Your Drafts

Fyxer drafts appear in two places:

1. Your email client's Drafts folder

  • Gmail → Drafts

  • Outlook → Drafts

2. Inside the email thread

If Conversation View is enabled, drafts appear attached to the conversation where they belong.

If you use "To Respond → Move to folder/label" your drafts will also appear in:

  • Gmail: the To Respond label

  • Outlook: the To Respond folder

Important Notes

  • Fyxer never sends drafts automatically - you always review and approve

  • Drafts begin generating after you enable Draft replies

  • Fyxer will not backfill drafts for your past emails
