I’m using a GoDaddy email – why won’t it connect to Fyxer?

GoDaddy-hosted Microsoft 365 accounts can't connect to Fyxer directly. Here's why, and what your options are.

If you manage your email through GoDaddy, it may look like a standard Outlook account, but GoDaddy treats Microsoft 365 differently from a direct Microsoft subscription. That difference is what blocks the connection.

Why GoDaddy Microsoft 365 doesn't work with Fyxer

GoDaddy uses a customized, locked-down version of Microsoft 365 that prevents external apps from connecting through standard authentication. This means Fyxer can't get the access it needs, even though your inbox looks and feels like regular Outlook.

This is a provider-level limitation. There's no workaround on Fyxer's side.

How to check if GoDaddy is hosting your Microsoft 365

  1. Log in to your GoDaddy account

  2. Go to My Products

  3. Under Email & Office, check whether your email service is listed as Microsoft 365

If it's listed there rather than managed directly through Microsoft, GoDaddy is your host.

If you don't have access to your GoDaddy account, check with your IT admin.

Your options

Option 1: contact GoDaddy support

Ask whether they can migrate your mailbox to a standard Microsoft 365 or Exchange Online environment. Some users have been able to make this switch through GoDaddy directly, which resolves the issue without changing provider.

Option 2: move to a supported email provider

Fyxer works with:

  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online) purchased directly from Microsoft

  • Google Workspace

Switching to either of these will resolve the issue permanently.
