Meeting Pre-reads

How Fyxer Meeting Pre-reads provide context before calls and how to enable or disable them

Updated this week

Meeting Pre-reads help you walk into calls with the right context by sending a concise summary before your meeting begins. Pre-reads pull relevant information from recent meetings, email threads, and attendee details so you can prepare quickly.

What Meeting Pre-reads Are

A Meeting Pre-read is an automatic email sent 15 minutes before a meeting when useful context is available. Each Pre-Read includes a brief, focused overview to help you understand:

  • Recent discussions related to the topic or attendees

  • Key decisions or action items from prior meetings

  • Background on attendees or companies

  • The meeting's purpose, history, or agenda (if available)

Pre-reads are designed to cut out noise and surface only information that matters.

When Pre-reads Are Sent

Fyxer sends a Pre-read only when certain conditions are met:

  • External attendees present - Internal-only meetings (standups, 1:1s, breaks, lunch chats) typically do not generate a Pre-read

  • Relevant context available - Fyxer must have prior meeting notes, email threads, or related history to include

  • Timing - The Pre-read arrives 15 minutes before the meeting begins

Not every meeting will generate a Pre-read - Fyxer only sends one when it adds meaningful value.

How to Turn Pre-reads On or Off

  1. Open your Fyxer Dashboard

  2. Go to Meetings β†’ Settings

  3. Scroll to the Pre-reads section

  4. Toggle Pre-read emails on or off depending on your preference

Your settings apply to all future meetings.
