This article explains how Fyxer pricing, seats, and billing work - including why charges change and how to avoid surprises.
If you've ever wondered "Why was I charged for more seats?" or "Why did my bill change?", this is the place to start.
The Basics: Plans, Seats, and Organizations
Fyxer uses a per-seat pricing model within an organization.
Plan - the feature set (Starter or Professional)
Seat - one active user in your organization
Organization - the shared workspace where billing is managed
Your total cost is based on:
Plan price × number of active seats
Choosing a Plan (Starter vs Professional)
Fyxer offers two main plans:
Starter - core inbox organization and AI drafting
Professional - advanced drafting, meeting notetaker, scheduling, and automation features
During trials, users may see Pro features enabled by default, but you can switch plans at any time from Billing Settings.

How Seats Work (This Is the Most Important Part)
Each person in your organization counts as one seat.
A seat is added when:
A teammate joins your organization
A user with your company email domain is automatically added (see below)
A seat is removed when:
A user is removed from the organization
The organization is downgraded or access is revoked
Seats are billed per user, not per inbox or per email address.
Auto-Add Domain: Why Seats May Be Added Automatically
When you create an organization, you may see a setting called:
"Automatically add users for this domain"
What this does:
If enabled, anyone who signs up with your company email domain (e.g. @company.com) is automatically added to your organization - and counted as a seat.
Why this can cause surprise charges:
Users may join without a direct invite
Seats are added immediately
Billing updates automatically
Recommendation: Review this setting early in onboarding if you expect to be the only user.
Monthly vs Annual Billing
You can choose between:
Monthly billing
Annual billing (includes a discount)
Switching between billing cycles can be done from Billing Settings.
Annual plans are often cheaper overall, but charges are billed upfront.
Why Your Bill Might Change (Proration Explained)
Your bill can change if:
Seats are added or removed mid-cycle
You upgrade or downgrade your plan
Your billing cycle changes
When this happens, Fyxer applies proration, meaning:
You're charged only for the time a seat or plan was active
Adjustments may appear as partial charges or credits on your invoice
Where to See and Manage Billing
You can view and manage everything from:
Dashboard → Settings → Billing
From there you can:
See your current plan and seat count
Add or remove users
Switch plans or billing cycles
Download invoices
Update tax or VAT information
Common Questions (Quick Answers)
"Why was I charged for multiple seats?"
Most often caused by additional users joining your organization or auto-add domain being enabled.
"I only wanted Fyxer for myself - can I reduce seats?"
Yes. Remove users from the organization and review your domain settings.
"Can invited users pay separately?"
No. Billing is handled at the organization level.
