When you connect Fyxer, it automatically categorizes your last 300 emails and any new ones, moving them out of your main inbox and into labeled folders. This can make it look like emails are missing, but they're still there.
What's actually happening?
Fyxer sorts your email into categories, ranked by priority, such as To do, FYI, and Notifications. Most users start their day in To do, rather than scanning hundreds of emails.
Email providers handle this categorization differently:
Gmail: emails are labeled and may move out of your main inbox
Outlook: emails are moved into folders
This is expected behavior and helps reduce inbox overload.
For older emails that are not automatically categorized, you can manually move them into the appropriate folders or labels to improve Fyxer's future categorization accuracy.

How to find your emails
In Gmail
Look for Fyxer labels (To do, FYI, Notifications)
Use the Gmail search bar – all emails are still searchable
Check All Mail if you're unsure where something went
In Outlook
Check the folders created by Fyxer in your mailbox
Expand your folder list if you don't see them right away
Want emails to stay in your main inbox?
You're in control of how Fyxer categorizes your email and where this shows up. Nothing is deleted, emails are simply organized based on your preferences.
Adjust categorization
Go to your Dashboard → Categorization
Review the two columns:
Keep these in my inbox
Move these out of my inbox
Toggle each category to choose where those emails should live.
What the toggles mean:
ON: emails are organized out of your inbox
OFF: emails stay visible in your inbox
Note: Changes you make here apply going forward.
If you want these changes to apply to all the emails Fyxer has already categorized:
Disconnect and reconnect your email integration in Dashboard → Settings → Integrations
When asked, choose that Fyxer folders are retained during this process
Still can't find an email?
Try these quick checks:
Search your inbox for the sender or subject
Check All Mail (Gmail) or all folders (Outlook)
Make sure categorization is still enabled
Tip: Move older email threads back into the inbox to trigger Fyxer's classification processes.
