Once your inbox is connected, Fyxer begins sorting new emails into 8 smart categories to help you focus on what matters. This article gives you a quick tour of what your inbox now looks like and how to navigate it confidently on Day 1.
Your 2 Most Common "Working Folders"
Most users choose to keep these two categories visible in their inbox because they represent the messages that matter most day-to-day:
1. To Respond
Emails that need your reply. Every message in this category automatically receives a draft from Fyxer.
2. FYI
Important updates you should read, but don't need to respond to.
These are not required settings, but they're popular because they make it easy to start your day by checking what needs attention and what you should be aware of.
Everything Else Gets Organized Behind the Scenes
Depending on your Categorization Settings, these categories may move out of your inbox:
Comment - document comments & chats
Notification - automated system alerts
Meeting Update - calendar invites & updates
Awaiting Reply - messages where you're waiting for someone else
Actioned - completed or resolved threads
Marketing - newsletters & promos
You choose what stays visible. Go to: Dashboard → Categorization Settings
Toggled ON - moves out of your inbox
Toggled OFF - stays in your inbox
Because Gmail and Outlook display folders/labels differently, your categorized inbox will look slightly different depending on the email client you use.
Outlook (Desktop app)

Want to Test Your New System?
Send yourself (or ask a colleague to send you):
A question → goes to "To Respond" You'll see a drafted reply appear automatically.
A calendar invite → goes to "Meeting Update"
A neutral update → goes to "FYI"
Nothing Is Ever Lost or Hidden
Fyxer never deletes, archives, or hides emails.
You can always find every message by:
Opening its category folder/label
Using your email client's search
Viewing the message in the original thread
Checking the "All Mail" folder in Gmail
If something appears to "move," it's because the category you selected is toggled ON for automatic filing.
Learn the Full Rules
For the detailed logic behind each category read the Email Categorization Handbook.
